So when Nate was 9 years old his father passed away from the Buebonic plague. His dads mother & father, brothers, and sister live in Arizona. We took Addi out to see Nate's grandparents when she was 1 years old and we haven't been able to go out since. So Grandma and Grandpa Sanders haven't seen Kylie, Laycee, or Bella and Addi in 8 years. So this trip was much needed!! So all of Nate's brothers and his sister decided to make the 10 hour trip to Arizona for their Grandma's family reunion.
As we drove to Arizona we made a couple of stops along the way. We stopped in Moab for a couple of hours and took the girls on some quick hikes to see some of the Arches. (Loved it!) and we laughed as we saw all the funny rocks that looked like things or people.

Stopped at the Petrified Forest on our way. The forest consisted of wood that had petrified into stone. Pretty amazing!
Here are some priceless pictures of Nathan's family. We had the reunion in a town called Eager, AZ. It was high up in the mountains so the temp. was perfect, 70-80 degrees. It was at a huge park where the kids played, & played, and played. There was such a sweet spirit while we conversed with Nate's dad's brother's, sister, and cousins. Talking about memories of Nate's dad, endless stories, and lots of hugs and kisses, Nate's dad's presence was definitely with us and we could feel his spirit very closely around us. This trip and experience was one we all will hold in a special place in our hearts. It was very hard to say good-bye.
